Expert Series DIY KIT
After nearly 2 full years of testing, nanocustoms has developed a foolproof way to mod a 70w into your factory canopy, all while retaining the factory splashguard. While to some this may seem trivial, it means safe temperatures, and enduring operation. Even better, retain your factory 2x36w bulbs for added value and functionality. Separate power switches and power cords for each individual light gives you the the ability customize your lighting schedule more than many other systems.
Featuring the highest quality components, methods, and nanocustoms experience, the 1.70 series for the BC 29 is the choice for those who want to add HQI light, all while retaining the factory fit, finish, and appearance. This upgrade also allows you to keep your two stock 36w power compact bulbs to make your canopy a lighting powerhouse. Your metal halide lighting and PC bulbs all have their own power cords and switches for highly customizable lighting scenarios.
An updated, cooler running, and quieter 70w HQI lighting engine, and other options, this is the system for the person who wants it all.
Please note: Soldering is NECESSARY. Our results are based on soldered/heatshrunk connections.

**All HQI lighting kits and complete systems are safe for your all-in-one aquarium. Each HQI lighting kit and system comes equipped with a heat-activated thermal cut-off switch and a fan relay switch to prevent any possible damage to your tank.**
**NOTE - Many newer Biocube systems have shorter cables that exit the canopy as opposed to the older versions, which had much longer cables (3-4'). If you have shorter cables, it is required to cut the longer cable from the stock Oceanic ballasts to complete the installation as outlined in our instructions. Please contact us for further clarification if desired.**
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Run fans 24/7 or at least 2 hour after halide turns off to ensure proper cooling. Nanocustoms also highly recommends replacing fans every 6-8 months for optimum heat removal and proper cooling throughout the canopy.
